Bricks and Block

The Green Team installs brick patios, pathways, firepits and retaining walls, using a variety of products and color choices. Some of the most popular brick styles today include Roman Cobble, Cobblestone and Holland. These can be laid in traditional patterns, or with more inventive curves and circles in the plan. Popular block styles include Stack Stone and Pisa 2. Although we have installed a variety of products, our products of choice come from Expocrete®.

At The Green Team, we believe the quality of the finished brick project begins with good base preparation. It is very important to dig down to the clay layer. We then add at least a 4 inch base of 20mm road crush gravel for areas with pedestrian use (more for driveways), compacted in two inch layers. This is followed by one inch of screed sand, topped off by the brick of choice.
