Fences

We build wood fences, using mainly cedar and/or pressure treated spruce, in a variety of styles and designs. The Green Team’s policy is to cement all fence posts at least three feet into the ground (below the frost line). 4x4 fence posts are cemented with two bags of cement each, and three bags are used with 4x6 posts. This promotes a much longer “life” for the fence. For a higher quality fence, we always screw all stringers and boards, rather than use nails or staples, which can work their way out with weather and time.
