Spring clean-up involves Power Raking (de-thatching), Core Aeration and mowing. Power Raking is a process that pulls old matted dead grass from the lawn, allowing new grass to grow more easily. Core Aeration helps to reduce lawn compaction by loosening the soil. This process also promotes root growth by increasing access of water, air & nutrients (fertilizer) at the root level. It is recommended that Aeration is performed twice a year: once as part of spring clean-up, and again in the fall, in preparation for winter.
